GOCO Lubricants are Less Costly to Use

GOCO's environmentally friendly products in at least some applications, such as our chain saw lubricant, have a first cost that makes our lubes more economical to use than competing petroleum products. Comparing total costs, including risks from spills and associated fines and clean-ups, our lubricants always are less costly to use.

Key motivations to switch to biodegradable chain saw oil relates to the advantage from a simple first cost standpoint is based on studies that show the vegetable oil chain saw oil adheres better to steel and that it also is more slippery than petroleum chain saw oils. This attribute enhances the cost effectiveness of the vegetable based oil, as it flings off the chain saw at a rate that is half that of the petroleum oil -- making it twice as productive, gallon for gallon.

Furthermore, the bar and the chain both last twice as long when the vegetable oil lube is used. Both of these attributes were identified and confirmed by tests on a canola oil based chain saw lube administered by the independent Forest Engineering Research Institute of Canada.
